We flew for the first time with Baby one and two at three months old. We figured by baby number three we were pros and we flew with her at 9 weeks including the older two. To Disney none the less which might have been crazy in its self. Flying basics with babies you only need a birth certificate for the child under two who is not buying a seat. It is not so much that they are concerned she or he is your child but that you in fact don’t have a tiny three year old you are trying to get to fly for free. The kids over two they don’t seem to care who they are as long as they bought their seat. This seems odd to me but o well. However if flying international all children regardless of age need passports. This we also just did with kiddos age 5, 3 and 8 months. In my experience you can bring any food and drinks through security if it is for the kids and baby. Even when asked at customs if we had any food we were told only baby food can come through, of course we agreed we only had baby food. Thankfully they didn’t check to see the giant bag of trail mix filled with tiny choking hazards I would certainly not be feeding my toothless baby. I have brought juice boxes and sippy cups with liquids also breast milk and all have been fine. They have occasionally tested some of the liquids but not always. Next time I’m going to try and take mimosas in sippy cups and see how it goes. Haha Jk
The car seat stroller debacle!
Southwest sells a huge blue bag for strollers and car seats
at their ticketing desk.
I bought one about 4 years ago for $20 and it still going strong. It is showing some wear for sure but still working. On our last trip to Aruba I fit three car seats ( 1 convertible seat, 1 booster, 1 base) and a beach play yard (ill touch base on this awesome thing later) in this bad boy, weighed in at 42lbs and counted as one checked bag. Boya! No renting car seats for 7 days x 3 kids (Renting Car seats through rental car agencies can cost $15 per seat per day) and a lot less to haul when your hubby refuses to get a cart at the airport. The baby car seat and stroller I took to the gate and curb side checked there. When I had just 1 baby I used my blue bag at the gate to keep the stroller and seat nice and clean. Once baby 2 and 3 came that went right out the window, I didn’t have time or enough hands to bag it all up at the end of the walk way and load everyone on the plane.
